The City of Flagstaff is looking for qualified individuals seeking flexible employment during the winter months.
The position is temporary and works on a part time on-call basis during snowstorms. Seeking dependable individuals who have the flexibility to be called in on very short notice, and be willing to work late night hours and long shifts (up to 12 hours) as determined by storm conditions. CDL drivers are subject to drug/alcohol testing.
This is a temporary snow removal position.
This position is FLSA non-exempt.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience operating a 10-wheel dump truck and front-end loader or any combination of experience and training predicting the ability to successfully fulfill the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must possess, a valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL), type 'A' or ‘B’
Must be able to pass a performance test on a dump truck.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
All emergency service employees shall maintain their principal residence within a prescribed area. The prescribed area shall be defined as a 12-mile radius from City Hall or 35 miles eastbound, westbound, and southbound from the I-17 and I-40 exchanges with a five mile wide corridor (2 ½ miles on each side).
Must have the ability to be contacted and to respond in a timely manner and be willing and able to perform emergency work on an evening, weekend, and 12-hour shift basis.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Incumbents of this position are subject to pre-employment drug screening, and post-employment random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug/alcohol screening.
