The Regional Land Use and Transportation Plan (2001) is the overarching policy document for the City of Flagstaff and part of Coconino County - how the area grows and changes.  The process of updating the Regional Plan is expected to take 36 months and will require extensive community outreach.  State Statute requires this plan to incorporate 17 elements.

'Teams' to Get the Work Done
The City of Flagstaff has several teams to get the work done. Please click on the links to view relevant information to each team.

Steering Committee
- Comprised of the County Manager, two County Supervisors, the City Manager, two Council members, and the City and County Planning Directors.  This group meets quarterly and keeps the two judicial bodies updated of the re-write progress.

Citizen Advisory Committee - 22 member committee made up of community members who are integral in helping planning staff ensure public outreach and participation; appropriate focus groups; and the drafting of the updated policy manual.

Core Planning Team - 10 professional planners, City and County staff; managing the process (not the content) - see contact information below.  

Focus Groups - will be small groups of community members invited to focus in on particular 'subjects' or plan elements.
